I was lucky enough to speak at some length with Alan one morning about a month before he passed away. He never let me know about his condition at that time, which was so typical of him--giving, caring and considerate.

While at Wingate, we used to share our poetry, and it's those memories of him that still live on in my heart.

I am saddened by Alan's passing. I have a vivid recollection of him during Wingate High School.
I hope that his loved ones know that he is not forgotten. Sincerely Ira G. Isaacowitz 1970
