Allan sat next to me in one of my classes. He was a sweet and smart and a little "geeky" -- in the best sense of the word. He was the kind of boy I thought would later become a scientist or an engineer, but would definitely have his day when maturity set in. He only lived ten years beyond our graduation from high school. I hope that, in those ten years, he blossomed and enjoyed life to the fullest.
