Leonard T. Tucker
November 26, 1927 - November 14, 2017

On Tuesday, November 14, 2017, Leonard T. Tucker reported to Post Everlasting.  Leonard T. Tucker was a Merrick Post No. 1282 member and he was very active at the Post and was our Service Officer at our Post for a number years. Lenny was a World War II Navy Veteran.

When Lenny walked in the room he always made you smile and he would laugh at  your corny jokes. You could always joke around with Lenny, he was truly a gentleman. He led and had a wonderful and fullfilling life. God speed my friend. Thank you for being in my life, you touched many people who knew you.

Lenny will be sorely missed.

When I went to Wingate High School and graduated June 1967 I remember him as a happy fella, joking, physical education teacher.  It was a difficult time in history as the Vietnam War was happening and the schools were used for cannon fodder to draft many classmates I knew.  Lenny Tucker was a regular dude and will be missed by all those people's paths he crossed.  God bless his sole as he is now resting and will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
